  1. Staff Software Engineer

    • Own self-service growth end to end across a portfolio of subscription products — signup, trial, upgrade, and conversion paths, plus the React/TypeScript interfaces and Node.js APIs behind them, as the engineer accountable from data model to UI.
    • Built a partner onboarding and referral platform from scratch (Laravel + React) — self-serve signup, referral attribution, commission tiers, payout workflows, and fraud checks. Thousands of partners run on it in production today.
    • Turned self-serve signup into a fully provisioned account with no human touch, through custom WHMCS modules and account-lifecycle hooks.
    • Shipped dynamic pricing, trial, and checkout logic across Stripe and Spreedly — rate calculation, promotional discounts, and tiered pricing applied at checkout — with fraud scoring on payment and signup flows to block abusive payments and reduce chargebacks.
    • Made the subscription numbers trustworthy: a WHMCS → ChartMogul pipeline normalising raw billing events into MRR, churn, expansion, and LTV — now the single source of truth leadership uses to judge self-serve growth.
    • Found where trial users actually drop off by instrumenting the funnel with Mixpanel event taxonomies, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery analysis, and Hotjar session replays — then tested the fixes with PostHog experiments and shipped the winners.
    • Shipped REST APIs that evolve without breaking clients — additive schema changes, dual-write/backfill migrations, and deprecation windows instead of breaking releases.
    • Operate what I ship — Docker services on AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS), CI/CD pipelines, and New Relic/Sentry monitoring, including production incident response on revenue-critical flows. Security is part of done: caught and fixed a SQL-injection pattern and an authorization gap before release.
    • Led a team of 5 engineers — mentoring through code review and tech talks, holding the line on coding standards (ESLint, PHPCS) and automated tests (Jest, Cypress, PHPUnit), and driving agentic AI tooling into the team's daily workflow.

  2. Senior Software Engineer

    • Delivered high-traffic front-ends with React and Gatsby against headless CMS APIs, improving Core Web Vitals on acquisition and onboarding entry points.
    • Built reusable component and block systems — custom Gutenberg blocks and a theme framework on the WordPress Customization API — so product and content teams could ship landing pages without engineering.
    • Worked to enterprise platform standards on WordPress VIP: VIP-Go ruleset, PHPCS, mandatory code review, strict performance and caching requirements.
    • Cut p95 response times with Redis caching and MySQL query optimisation; instrumented services with New Relic and Sentry to catch regressions before users reported them.
    • Automated build and release workflows with Jenkins CI/CD and AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS), and shipped internal tooling that reduced release friction for the whole web team.

    • Established coding standards and review practices for consistency, maintainability, and testability.
